"That is a closed chapter. Now that the problem is sorted out one must not dwell on it. That's what I have been taught by my grandfather Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan. I am an actor and I should continue with my job.''
About the view in Bollywood that his mother is the frank and fearless one; and his father Amitabh Bachchan, the epitome of diplomacy, he replies, "First of all, I don't think my mother is a frank and fearless person. She has been labelled that. I don't think very highly of people who calls themselves moophat (outspoken). Being frank is a not a quality one should be proud of.'' According to him, it is very easy to be outspoken. "But we, as celebrities, have a responsibility and it is very important how we conduct ourselves in public.''
"My mother is very conscious of the fact that she is a public figure. She conducts herself impeccably. I don't see any reason for a complaint about her at all. She is a much respected member of our industry and she realises the responsibility that she has to shoulder and carries it wonderfully.''
